Я очень ждала эту часть, посмотреть как они сделают. У меня есть книжечка, про подготовку к коронации и как она проходила, так что я хотела сравнить. 
Саму церимонию освещали с интересного ракурса, но всё же осталась пара вещей.
Дело к ночи, поэтому по традиции немного чувственных гифок:
The Anointing with oil on hands, breast and head by the Archbishop of Canterbury, effectively an act of consecration which sets the sovereign apart from the people.
Как было на самом деле:
The Archbishop first anointed The Queen's hands, and then, as he wrote later, he stepped back and dipped his thumb again to anoint The Queen's breast and head. Unfortunately, by the time he had said the prescribed prayer, the oil on his thumb had evaporated.
Nevertheless, he pressed his thumb on The Queen's breast and head 'which was all that was necessary', and then wiped her two hands clean.
